My heart just skipped a beat. Another great Ranger gone and one of my heros. He was my 1st Platoon Sergeant, C Co, 1st Plt, 2/75. He tried to talk me out of retiring in 1995. I was told he was going to be at the 40th anniversary this year, but he didn't make it. Rest easy Smokin Joe, you WILL be missed. Another Ranger receives his final set of wings.
