Former 75th Army Ranger Peter E.Kassig Captured by ISIS
The militant group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) released a video purportedly showing the execution of British hostage Alan Henning, which closes with a threat against Peter Edward Kassig, an American citizen who served with the U.S. Army Rangers

Re: Former 75th Army Ranger Peter E.Kassig Captured by ISIS
On Friday afternoon, a video was released online purporting to show the beheading of British citizen Alan Hennng. At the end of the video, as has become customary for the Islamic State, the next victim is brought to the camera, and threatened with death. Peter Kassig, an American, and ex-Army Ranger appears to be the latest captive.
According to a CNN profile in 2012, the 27-year-old Kassig was deployed to Afghanistan in 2007, and has devoted much of his life to aiding Syrian refugees.
After receiving an honorable discharge for medical reasons, Kassig briefly returned to the United States, before realizing his life’s work was elsewhere.
“I was going to school with kids who look the same, were the same age as me, but we weren’t the same…wanted more of a challenge, a sense of purpose.”
weren’t the same…wanted more of a challenge, a sense of purpose.”
When he returned to the Middle East, Kassig started a humanitarian aid group, the Special Emergency Response and Assistance to aid wounded civilians.
“We each get one life and that’s it. We get one shot at this and we don’t get any do-overs, and for me, it was time to put up or shut up,” Kassig told CNN.
“The way I saw it, I didn’t have a choice. This is what I was put here to do. I guess I am just a hopeless romantic, and I am an idealist, and I believe in hopeless causes.”
In a 2012 fundraising pledge for his organization, the Indiana native elaborated why he felt the need to do more for his fellow man.
“We may not have much but I have always felt that the reasons why you do something are as important as what you do. This is about making a difference not just through material goods, but also the exchange of ideas and experiences that the international community benefits from through this type of initiative.”

Jesus. My brother just told me about this too.
We really need to start carpet bombing these motherfuckers 24/7.
Pray that someone gets to this young Ranger in time.

Re: Former 75th Army Ranger Peter E.Kassig Captured by ISIS
The scum that holds our brother captive has to know who he is, and his background by now. It is all over the internet. That being the case, I fear his life is doomed, if he hasn't been executed by now. Given the flair for the dramatic these swine love, there is no way they would pass up such a propaganda coup for their bullshit "cause"; the execution of the " infidel Army Ranger". It has been said that the Europeans they capture they tend to use to extort money, but because the US and Great Britian don't pay they use our prisoners solely for propaganda, and they wind up being killed anyway.
One can only pray for the dramatic rescue of one of our own, and I doubt there is the man alive having Cole Range clay under his nails, that wouldn't give everything to be on that mission. However, the underwhelming actions of the POTUS thus far give me absolutely no hope. Left to our own druthers, I have no doubt the men of the Regiment (past & present..) would find those responsible and make them pay. Dearly. With no quarter given. But such is not the world in which we live..
One could hope that those responsible have been, or will be bombed into a red mist. Again, given the nature of bombing, this is wishful thinking at best. It fucking sucks big time, and doesn't make it any easier to stomach, but I get the feeling our brother will be sacrificed for the cause..

I heard about this a couple days ago. I pray for this young Ranger and his family. I can only imagine the horror they must be living through.
Re: Former 75th Army Ranger Peter E.Kassig Captured by ISIS
Sadly, I expect to learn of another grisly video at any moment.
I pray for our brother. God Bless Peter Kassig and His Entire Family.
I also pray for nothing but fire, brimstone, and a pox on those who hold him. Damn them for eternity.
