Got in contact with the recruiter at the Cassleberry recruiter station and have an appointment to come in on Sept 16. I had to order my high school transcripts and I'm currently waiting for them to come in. Also I bought Ranger goon175 book "Ranger Knowledge" on Amazon and I highly recommend it to any fellow wannabes out there.

Current PT numbers as of this morning

60 push ups
58 situps

15:10 run time

No excuses on the PT numbers I've been very lazy since school started back up,however, I will update every 2 weeks with new/better PT scores

You forget how to address Rangers as outlined in a PM by MichaelS in your introduction topic?

You also forgot you are not here to advise "wannabes" about the contents of a book. You are here to learn.
Next time you post pt numbers be sure to include your pull ups too.

Decent sit-rep otherwise.

Good Day Rangers,

Just got back from the recruiting station and I just need to get a release from AFPC (Air Force Personal Command) and I'll be good to go. The recruiter mention that I might need to get a waiver for my wrist since I dislocated when I played football back in High School. It wasn't open surgery. I didn't receive pins or anything the doctor just reset it and put it in a cast. Hopefully this doesn't cause a problem.

Your PT is improving but you have got to continue to work on it. Are you still working on 35P Option 40? Never, never quit!

Unfortunately Ranger Jim 35P isn't offer with a Option 40 since the training dates won't line up with the DLI being the way it is. You have to volunteer for RASP when your at the DLI or AIT. I'm currently looking into 35N, 13F, 15W, and 68W. On another note I signed my release today and the recruiter gave me a practice ASVAB on his laptop. I scored a 78 on it. I'm a tad bit rusty on these type of things so I went ahead and downloaded the ASVAB for Dummies book. I'm pretty confident I'll be a able to score a 95+ once I have the opportunity to look over the material

Ranger Jim I want to do signal intelligence, I'm just keeping my options open by looking into other MOSs. As far a language goes I want to learn something relevant. I know the DoD will be shifting its focus more to the pacific region so I would like to learn a language in that region like Mandarin but you don't choose your languages at the DLI the Army does so its a crap shoot on what you get.

For MOS 35P you will need to score a 107 or higher on the DLAB. The enlistment is a minimum of 5 years. As you have already learned option 40 will not come with MOS 35P. I have seen a few 35M, 25B, 25C, and I think 35N with option 40. I look into it tomorrow morning.

What PerryB is telling you is that the Regiment does not provide recruiting slots for 35P. However, there are authorizations in the Regiment for that MOS. See below:
