Ranger Jim, little things like stating what I was doing got me for the most part. There were several times that I could have rebutted a no-go, but there were too many menial screw ups that just added up to even try. In train-up, the instructors did an excellent job of explaining what they wanted to see. I even ran through the lane with an evaluator the day before and he explained to me what I needed to fix. I believe I fixed what I messed up on that time and provided the proper medical care. Next time I go out for it, I know to state every intervention and assessment I perform. Even if I have to say them 100+ times in 10 minutes.
I don't want to settle for being just another medic. I strive for and want to earn the title 'Doc'.

Rangers, I contacted my branch manager a few nights ago. I was able to pull a slot for Airborne School after I PCS out of Korea.

Keeping on keeping on as always, Rangers.

Rangers, I have been given a class date for Airborne School at the beginning of January. I am ecstatic about going and falling out of a perfectly good airplane.

Due to my high PT score that I achieved, my Platoon Sergeant also put my name in for a slot to go to Air Assault School at Camp Casey in September.

Driving forward, Rangers.

Rangers, I have just returned from the field, my last field cycle while here in Korea. I e-mailed a recruiter from the 75th requesting a packet to fill out to go to RASP. I received the e-mail while I was out, and in the beginning stages of filling it out. My physical from my Airborne packet should cross over for the Ranger physical, but I noticed a slight issue. I know my Airborne date is less than 90 days away from now, and the packet is supposed to be submitted further out than that. It seems that I may end up having to wait until I get to Alaska to fill out the packet, which isn't really an issue. Although I do not have a sponsor, so I cannot communicate my intentions once I arrive.

Driving forward and staying motivated as always, Rangers!

Get the packet done now and submit it when the time comes, it will reduce your future wait times. Looking back on how I handled my application process I wish I would have done this. At the very least get the letters of recommendation from your current 1ST and Commander if your in good standing with them(these kinds of things are low on the priority list and will most likely take a lot of waiting nagging to get completed), that will defiantly make things easier for you in the future. Then all you would need is a signed 4187 the rest would be dependent on you to complete.

DISCLAIMER to the above post. I am not a Ranger nor am I claiming to be one, I have only gained the opportunity to attend RASP at this point. I just want to help smooth out your process and keep you from making the mistakes I did up to now.
