howdy...
my name is Rocky, i was a 1st batt boy back in the late 90's. now i am a welder/fabricator contractor in the oilfield, maintain the family ranch and am a single father. i spend the majority of my time "in the woods" huntin', fishin' & trying to teach my son how to be a woodsman. i came across this site as fluke, i was looking at challenge coin history after ordering myself a new coin during a moment of nostalgia, my original having been stolen when my house was robbed a few years ago. i probably wont be that active of a member, but i like the idea of having a bloggspot centered around Rangers.

Welcome to ArmyRanger.com, Ranger. Thanks for your service to our great country!
Were you able to find the coin you needed. I have a collection of Ranger challenge coins and have a few duplicates.

@Ranger Ron, yes i was, thank you... close enough anyway- the coin i found and purchased online is an approximate match to the one i got in batt. the only flaw that i noticed was that the lightning bolt on the DUI was left unpainted, making it obvious that it is a replica and sold to the general public instead of an original. will work for my purposes (display). i can always get some red paint if i want it to appear more authentic.
