If you ask nicely one of these old guys might let you see the copy that Major Rogers gave them when he recruited them.

Then again, we might not. Think I left mine somewhere with that letter of reference from Wiseman Claggett and the hatchet I was issued. Dang if I can keep that thing scoured proper anymore.

I've been having similar problems with maintaining my birchbark canoe. Thank God we have not had to do any cross-lake assaults lately.

I fought with the Gallowglass myself, don't know much about that new kid Rogers.
I never wore a cape, but I still have my dog tags.

I'm gettin old and CRS 'bout Rogers Rangers Standing Orders until I take a few swigs from the jug. But do remember one of Murphy's Laws
