per1990 intro

Hello everyone,

I've been a member of this site for quite a while, but never posted an intro. My delay was not due to lack of interest, rather I had nothing of value to post and was concentrating more on learning. I joined the Army in August of 2010, and am an 11c. I am currently deployed, and my chain of command just put me in for ranger school when i get back. I hear my chances of getting a slot are pretty slim, as I am only a PFC, maybe a SPC by the time I get back. I will still be doing everything I can to prepare, and I gladly welcome any advice from Rangers on this site.
I am married, no kids, and I plan to make the army a career. One of the goals I have for my career is to be a ranger, and I hope I can take advantage of this opportunity. I plan to be more active on this site, and will try to respond to any questions and pieces of advice. Thanks.
