Afghanistan Airfield Raid 2001-2002

Post by sunny237365 »

I recently read up on the history of 3rd Ranger Bn following the events of 9/11. I read that elements of the 3rd Ranger BN Parachuted into and secured a desert airstrip in late Oct 2001. I was trying to find out if during that raid if there were many wounded or during that combat engagement. I'm Army retired and working in corporate america. There is a individual in my company by the name of Steve Norris who claims he was shot coming down in his parachute. Claims he was shot a second time in in the same combat operation. He claims he was awarded the Silver Star of his actions. I checked the list of Army Silver Star Awardees and he wasn't on the list at all. The guy is just not right. Many red flags in his stories. Need a real Ranger to help me figure out if this is true. Please Help.

Sunny, You have been told in no uncertain terms that this guy is a poser. What do you intend to do about it?

The last name of Norris is not included in a list of GWOT Silver Star recipients.

Sunny, were you in Echo company?

The reason I ask is that this is now the 3rd thread you've started on this guy, with multiple double posts. You've been answered no less than 10 times that this guy is a fraud.

As Ranger Jim asked, what is your next course of action?

It wasn't an "Airfield Raid". There were some things that happened, but Steve Norris' account did not happen, Period! Sunny don't send me a PM about this.
