Hearts and minds.

Post by errie806 »

OK I've searched around for some information on this subject and found nothing. I realize you cannot violate opsec, so I'll try to keep this question within the rules. I'm sure we are all familiar with the "hearts and minds" tactic that has become a popular tactic in today's wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. With all due respect I hate this idea not solely because of the type of mission it is, but because I find it to be incredibly naive and a collosal waste of resources. I just want to know. Do Rangers take any part in this sort of deployment? I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I just want to be sure I don't become part of a unit that is tasked with this sort of deployment. I'm not talking about training foreign militaries. Please understand that this is seperate from that sort of mission which I understand. I don't like the idea of being stuck on a base with the mission of getting farmers and goat Herders to like me. I apologize if I offend anyone with this or if I seem too harsh.

I just went through your previous posts and it appears you have not taken the advice from the other Rangers on this forum. At Battalion you will get one opportunity to fuck up. if you do it again, you will find yourself somewhere else. This post is an absolute waste of time for everyone reading. Go back to your Soldier of Fortune magazines and stop posting! If you want to be part of Battalion great, give "100% and then some" in everything you do in your efforts to get there. That includes now, while READING this forum. I did not have the opportunity of this forum when I was preparing to go to RIP. It is a valuable resource if you choose to use it. From what I have seen you are not using it properly.

Well, now you have 14 posts, so you will not have the bragging rights for being banned in the shortest possible time. That was achieved in just 9 posts. Do you notice any trends?
