Hey guys,
So I have recently been the victim of an overtraining injury, Tendonitis in the thumb-palm of my left hand. I was wondering if anyone could share some insight as to when it would be ok to return to training. It's been almost 3 weeks, and when I was doing pushups at the beginning sharp pain would shoot up through my hand/wrist. Now there's no pain that I can feel. Though, there is a dull pain in my wrist the majority of the time, if I'm playing xbox with some friends for more than 20 min there is a dull pain by my thumb.
Basically the question is, can you resume training when you feel 70% better? or should I wait another few weeks when I'm 100%. I consulted with an orthopedist, but he was unable to give me a solid answer, maybe someone here can give me something better.
Thanks in advance,
Shock

stop playing video games for one. start stretching that tendon for two. when you can stretch it with no pain then start EASING into working that muscle/tendon again. everything else, go as hard as you want. by the way, how the hell do you get tendonitis in your thumb? were you training for the world jack-a-thon or something? i thought i watched a lot of porn...damn.
