Libyan rebel commander admits fighters have al-Qaeda links

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi's regime.

Old news. The majority of the Libyans scarfed up in Iraq were from the areas mentioned in the article.

FOX just had a story that .... apparently......Al Quaeda has stolen some surface to air missiles from Qadaffy's stockpiles (Oh, isn't that just lovely?) and that the NATO Commander has admitted that he sees a "flicker of Al Quaeda in the rebel ranks". God Help Us!

We seem to enjoy arming the enemy. We armed Saddam, We armed the Taliban. We even armed the Vietnamese during WWII. Maybe we arm them so that they can give us a better fight and we won't look like such bullies

I heard on the radio today that Secretary of Defense H. Clinton said there is nothing in the UN mandates that says we can not give arms to the rebels.

Read up on the LFIG, which was Qaddafi's main opposition. Then read a little more on AQIM (who some of you guys have probably had an up and personnel with). Then take in to account a diplomatic cable the Wikileaks asswipes published from January of this year. There was a nice little tea party with Obama's DoS, the usual EU cowards and this guy who they now have crowned the new PM of Libya. Here is the closing para;

Setting up business incubators elsewhere in Libya, particularly around Benghazi, will be especially important there since rates of unemployment are even higher than the nation-wide average of 20 percent, a potential driver of extremism in a region that has historically provided foreign fighters to al-Qaeda in Iraq. So, they knew this was a region supplying AQ fighters, but Obama felt compelled to save it? Yeah and it was the high unemployment that forced them into terrorist prostitution.

I am pretty sure my head just exploded.
