Introduction - Nelson

Post by nlh8456 »

Hello Rangers,

My name is Nelson, I'm 23 years old and am a relatively recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Business Administration. I've always been very interested in the military (Rangers in particular), but until recently have been ignoring my gut instinct to pursue my dream. As it stands right now I'm working a desk job 9-5 and applying for graduate schools to further my education with an MBA, and both of these things leave a terrible taste in my mouth.

As I was starting to collect information from various sources on the internet I came across this site and the myriad of information contained within. I've only skimmed the surface, but I am looking forward to getting educated as I work toward my ultimate goal of obtaining an 11x Option 40 contract in the future.

Thank you for maintaining this site and thank you Rangers for your services to our great country

Respectfully,

- Nelson

Welcome Nelson.

Might be a good idea for you to get your MBA & sticking it out to persue you education. Sticking it out now as hard as it seems may be a blessing to show yourself you do not quit but see that hard work to its end. That is a good quality if Rangers is truly your dream, 'cause Rangers don't quit.

Ranger Steadfast,

I agree with your recommendation to stick it out through graduate school and finish up with my MBA. Since my introduction I've somewhat changed my goals, and have become much more focused on going through OCS, and using my education and training to hopefully end up as a part of the Ranger Regiment as an Intel Officer...

I look forward to my continued education on all things Ranger with the help of this website, and hope to be a part of your great brotherhood someday in the future.
