RASP 3-11

Post by Quick With a K »

I got to Fort Benning on Jan 13 like my report date on ATTRS said. Little did i know that the class had already started. To make a long story short i will take a PT test 0600 Monday morning and out of the 4 or 5 guys that showed up on the 13th like me, who ever scores the highest will be put in the class. The others will have to wait until the next class 18 Feb to start. also i have a Packing list that i will post up later. It's really all just basic stuff the only thing i had to purchase was a ACU pattern camelbak.

Ranger ColtRgr,

How ironic that while driving around running errands on the eve of traveling to Benning for my Son's Basic Graduation, feelin' pretty pumped that I have no work for a week, what comes on the radio?

I had no recollection of Bag Pipes in that song..........

Nothing makes you 18 again like AC DC!

Rangers,

Thank you for all you do for our me my family and our country. Normally, I just read everything, because this is your world and I'm just trying to learn it. I don't post much. My son is a Ranger and I want to know everything about it, second hand obviously.

But, you've inspired me to fire up my IPOD with that song. AC/DC I know. Thank you.

Week 1 is almost over. He's either the one who got that slot and is too busy making his bones or he scored so low that we'll never hear from him again!

Update*

Well I did not get the slot. Turns out, out of the 4 who took the PT test, the highest score did not get the slot. The guy who ran the fastest did lol oh well, i should have run faster. So ive been in "holdover" now changed to "PRE-RASP". I hurt my leg on the 27th doing a run to doughboy w/ buddy carries. DOC said it was an IT Band strain, but I think im good to go again. The next class starts on 17 Feb. i will update accordingly

Welcome Ma'am.
