Introduction-Allen

Post by pfc t »

My name is pfc Allen XXXXXX. I'm 26 years old and hold an AAS in ems/firefighting. It was near impossible to get a firefighting gig before the economy tanked let alone now so I decided to try the army to support my wife and two kids. I love it and hopefully won't be going back to being a civilian anytime soon.

I have one more week of wheeled vehicle mechanic AIT followed by airborne/rasp. I decided to try being a ranger bcause there are too many young undisciplined soldiers that don't care about anything in the army and I'm trying to steer clear of that. I know I have what it takes to be the best at what I do.

Don't "try" to do anything. Only "do" it or don't.

Thanks for signing up. Be a good mechanic. Out of the many I've met, only a few were any good. It's an important job.

good luck, and thanks for serving.

also, you should have capitalized PFC, and do so for all ranks. it's how the Army abbreviates. and you should capitalize Army and Ranger as well. If you want to be a professional, you need to present yourself as one. doesn't matter if you are sending from a phone, iPad, or Xbox. take the time to do something right, and you only have to do it once.

good luck.

Thank you for your service PFC and glad to see another mechanic of some sort on this board.

Best thing I can give you, get your hands dirty every chance you get and be a sponge to all of your NCO's, they will teach you all the tricks of the trade to be a damn good mechanic.
