Introduction - Justin

Post by Petey488 »

Hello Rangers,

I have been a long time browser of this forum and finally have decided to sign up and introduce myself. My name is Justin and I am a 22 year old living in Florida. Recently I have been sworn in and signed the contract of 25c with Option 40. I have always had the desire to push myself and be the best, and that's why I waited until I could get a option 40 contract. My basic start date is Oct 12, 2010 so I have quite some time. I scored an 89 on my ASVAB if that matters at all.

Anyways, I have come to this forum seeking advice on my PT. As of right now I have 9 months before RASP or RIP ( I don't know the proper term, pardon me) starts. I no longer have access to a gym due to monetary reasons and I have always been a hard gainer. I am 6'3" and 165 pounds, I have been working out for 3 - 4 years now, and as of recently I have been forced to use resistance bands, pull up bars, and body weight exercises. I just recently started running every other day too. As of right now my PT scores are

Push ups - 52
Sit ups - 75
2 mile - 14:00
Chin ups - 15

My problem is is that I have seemed to be lagging and reached a plateau on my pushups, and that's why I have come to you guys. I know this is the introduction forum and if I have to post this question again in the proper area I will, I am just happy with finally introducing myself to all you guys. Also I was wondering if on average, did you guys notice decent gains on your guys PT scores after basic?

Thank you for your time

I know this is a double post, but I just wanted to keep you guys updated on my PT. I decided to have my fiance time my PT events instead of doing it myself and I dont know if it was the pressure or motivation of having someone else time me, but my pushups went up to 60 and my situps to 76. I just hope I can keep up the improvement.
