I thought it was funny. Back in '79 when I enlisted for the Rangers and went off for "Army Training" there was nothing to be found on the post Vietnam Rangers. My parents looked and looked.

Hell, I couldn't even find a Ranger shoulder patch in Airborne school! The O-6 Black Hat pinning on Airborne Wings went down the line asking where everyone was going too and then pinned on their Airborne Wings. When I said the 1st Ranger BN he smiled and gave me blood wings, the only one in my rank, and then looked me in the eyes and said "you'll like it there"....
