Wanted to share the news that CSM (Ret) John "Russ" McDonald passed away 3 Sep 09. Russ was a soldier! I knew him as an advisor to the 32d Vietnamese Ranger Battalion. Following his retirement, he was appointed the Honorary CSM of the 327th Infantry Regiment. Please read his obituary . Yes I know that there is not a 327th Rangers -- I have no idea how that got into print.
