Are you shitting me. I just got wood reading that story. And I thought tough was walking twelve miles in full gear without any skin on your feet.

BTW, BlowJob....what are you, a fucking moron?! Everything in the military, to include weapons and equipment, is made by the lowest bidder. Hell, most of the gear is made by 'So-and-So Institute for the Blind'. If you think I'm kidding, ask around.

Does a parachute malfunction....sheeeeiiiiiit. :?

By the way guys when you meet him refer to him as Rick not Charlie... When I was voted in as Treasurer I was sitting betwen between Rick, my old platoon daddy Jim "Heavy Drop" Burns and Don Purdy was on Heavy Drops right.. those two sobs said you just try and make it out the door...lol.. talk about being intimidated.. LOL too fucking funny.. they said they were gonna keep me from running out the door.. I believed em.. the Purd says as I walked out of the aisle if you bolt I will hunt you down and beat you senseless.. I walked to the front of the room.. the bastards..

Edited to add that I should have read the news article...LOL

KC Leuer was the 1st BC of 1st Batt. Laws was in Charlie Co. with Purdy and Brown...talk about an all star line up.

After LTC Leuer and CSM Gentry left they were replaced with LTC. Stang and CSM Caro. Caro died in a parachute accident returing from Panama. I was in his stick. Another young, SP4 Quick also dies in that jump. It was a Battalion Mass Tactical with dependants watching. Tough day for 1st Batt.
