Simple principle of supply & demand, RRD. It's very simple.
Reduce, or threaten to reduce, the supply of a product while the demand goes up, those who have that product charge more.
Just as you will for a cut of the gate if your band breaks out. Will you be gouging fans when the venue charges $40 cover at the stadium gate instead of $4 cover at a downtown bar? Will you short your family a new house with 6 more rooms to make your art more accesible to the fans? You'd be fairly well unique!

Pelosi, Schumer & that company of clowns suggest preventing explotation of every possible source of POL supply, while promoting the elimination of our strategic oil reserve, which removes a national asset in order to reduce gas prices a percentage of one cent for 12-24 hours.

Many of the refineries along the gulf coast have just been repaired from Katrina. Now we have this enormous hurricane kicking the entire Gulf's ass. Don't you think that the huge amount of offshore oil platform damage and refinery damage that is happening right now is going to have an affect on gas prices? I hate paying it, too, but it is hardly Bush's fault and it is certainly to be expected.
