Sitrep from RIP.
Sitrep from RIP.
Rangers,
It has been quite awhile since my last post. So far, I have graduated Basic Training and OSUT as an 11B. Got held up in Airborne Hold for a month due to a cycle break, but managed to avoid two weeks of detail by going to Javelin School . Airborne was a breeze and fun to boot. Finally, after two weeks in RIP Hold we finally got picked up by the RIP Cadre on Friday. Like steven11's sitrep before mine, the Cadre informed us we were possibly the largest class ever. However, this makes no difference to me. This is just another hurdle to be overcome. We have had so many VW's so far before the class even started. Even now you can hear who will quit in the voices of the ones who complain everytime we get smoked. Quitting is not an option. Not only do I know for a fact I won't do it, the notion of it just pisses me off. Thank you for your constant words of wisdom and advice on this site Rangers, they have helped me in the drive to succeed.

Another short SITREP.
RIP was a pretty crazy experience. As you said Ranger RTO, the Tan Beret and Scroll were easily worth the suck. I graduated, drove on, and made it to 2/75 and just finished up my first week of training. The training is very extensive and enlightening. It just feels so damn good to look at all the Regular Army and know I'm not one of them. In these past months I've found an inner fire in myself that I never knew existed. One that I will use to bust my ass in Battalion.

Someone will be along shortly to update your credentials.
I'm certainly proud of (and a little jealous) of all you are about to experience.
