Really Stupid Question

Post by Moni D »

I have been chatting with someone who says they are in the army- as a 'scout'... i have verified that a person by his name is in the army and have seen picx of him, in uniform- , but am wondering if he is truly WHERE he says he is...

Is there ANY way to verify that? I have a tendency to not trust people b/c my husband lied to me a LOT, and would like to know once and for all about this guy.

Have him pick up a local newspaper daily, todays date and hold it under his chin with the date visible. You can't get a NYTimes that fast or a LATimes. Get it? in Irac, I dunno.

and of course, Iraq is where he says he is. I DO believe he is in the service.
I am not sure if I believe he is in Iraq.
But that was an excellent suggestion to keep in mind for other cases :D

Here's a tip.. was he in DCU's...?

Sand?...

Promask?...

Weapon?...

All these little subtle hints add up into saying he could be there.. If he has BDU's on that might be a sign of him not actually being in Iraq.

Yes on DCUs, negative on the other 3.

Alot of units have scout platoons. So it is quite possiblr that he is one. Or he is a Calvary Scout which is an actual MOS in the Army. They ride around in tanks or HUMMV's.

I was a "cav scout" for like 3 months in the Guard....

They were like, "Of, Sgt, you were a Ranger and in a LRS unit? You are going to be the new Bradley commander!" Myresponse was something along the lines of....

"What's a Bradley?"
