What a shitty rifle.:D

J/K, they are not that bad, but for a little more $$ get yourself a Yugo M70 AK.

Why did I know you were going to say that?

I have a Hungarian that shoots almost as good as my AR's.

But for someone's first AK, there's no need to shell out a shitload of dollars-bottom line, it's still an AK. And definitely get an AR Nate (if you don't already have one) before getting an AK.

AK's work, as a testimony to the design. My Mak-90 shoots 5-6 moa, but it always shoots.

Me, for a first anything, I'd rather spend $375 to see how I like it vs. 6-1000 to find out that I might not like it. But hey, to each his own.

Hehe
I too had a WASR and was happy, until I had to dremil out the mag well a bit for my Chicom mag to fit.

Don't get me wrong its an AK and it functioned fine($375), but looked like ass compared to my Yugo's ($450-500).

I'm thinking about a Aresenal 106 or building a Khyber pass AK, just gotta see what my TDY is gonna be.

Time for some humble pie. I'll eat my words. WASR's suck. I returned my first one because it jammed. Just cleaned the cosmoline off my second one and I can already tell that I'll have problems as the bolt does not work smoothly and in fact gets stuck halfway just working the action by hand.

I think it's a testament to the AK that in spite of its extra weight, at least one man on about half of L Company's teams carried one.

This picture is AWESOME!!! One of my Ranger buddies has a picture of us holding AK's when we briefly traded with CPTP over in the 'Stan. But, other than finding them on raids, and a quick weapons fam, we didn't get to do much with them.

Love the pic. It shows us what it was like "back when it was hard"!
