Ding Ding!! We have a winner..

Best DEP intro in forever.

Good luck to you stud. Never quit. All of the information you seek is here in this site. The "SEARCH" button is your friend. Read much, Post little...and we should see you on the other side of the fence.

As far as the PT is concerned...there are several great threads on increasing all of your weaknesses...August...you have time...

Shin Splints are covered as well...I beat them by just running through them...NOT THE RECOMENDED METHOD, BTW... Mine would act up when I did more than 3 miles....I just kept 6-8 just to piss them off.....and they went away...try it for a week, if it doesn't work....you got time to heal and use any other method you can find...

Welcome here....and good luck...

Damn fine intro young man, you definately need to work on your pushups, the best thing for them is MORE PUSHUPS. As far as the shin splints go, you might just need different running shoes, and do a proper stretch. Sit on the floor and hold the ends of a towel in each hand, put the loop on the other side of your toes and pull, (keep your legs straight) hold for about twenty seconds and switch legs. Do this a couple of times before you go running. Let me know how that works out for you.

Is this really happening?

You remind me of someone we just had graduate from RS. I think if you keep your head out of your ass, you will reach your goal.

Read, read and read more. If there is a question you want answered and cannot find an answer to...go ahead and ask. It will be answered correctly.

There is a place called the mentoring zone and another private area for DEP's. Both places are very helpful. I suggest you listen to the DEP's who have been around here for a little while and go from there.

*Remember to address all members according to their respective titles.
*Read all of the FAQ's and Stickies on top of each forum.
*Listen to the DEPs.

Welcome and congratulations for enlisting and for the willingness to become an Army Ranger. You have about a hundred days to prepare yourself to succeed. Take advantage of that time and do not do anything stupid like getting a DUI.
WE NEED MORE RANGERS!

Welcome Tim, nice job doing your research.

I suggest you do a search and read all the posts by CDWDirect and SunDevilWrestler. Besides beginning in the same place you are now and going on to achieve their goals, they also regularly made intelligent, informative posts.

You have a great opportunity staring you in the face. Don't squander it.
