ICE!!!!!

Post by Ranger Ron »

Well now, I have sure had an exciting morning so far.

It has been colder than hell here for more than a week. This morning it has warmed up to about 30. Then it started raining.

We live on a lake about 8 miles south of town so we drive in on county roads. I had been at my office about an hour when I get a call from my wife saying that she has wrecked her car. She slid through a T intersection, into and out of the ditch and into the trees growing above the ditch. She is absolutly fine. Pretty much ruined the left front wheel. There is probably more damage but won't know until they get it towed in and checked.

Now that we know she is ok, I am pretty pissed. She has had more damn accidents than carter has pills. I think I am going to restrict her to her piano bench!!!!!

Ok, I am cooling down now and told her I was glad she wasn't hurt.

Well, on with the day!

You are very correct about replacing the car. Hell, we have already done it about 4 or 5 times. One of the few cars on the road that has been "New" that many times.

Cars are expendable.

One of the guys at work announced that he had been married 25 years. My comment was that I was married for 21 years -- of course that was to two women (14 the first time, seven years the next -- I guess that means that if I get married a third time it will last 3 1/2 years).

Glad to hear the family is okay.

It is 50 degrees in Denver with howling winds. At home in Greeley (about 30 miles North/North East of Denver) my wife said they are having a storm with sleet/snow and freezing rain.

We are now beginning to get the winds. They are to hit here middle to late afternoon. It is now about 45 degrees, melting like mad, but it will be one big mess when it freezes tonight.

Just talked to my daughter who lives in Denver and she said it was real windy.

The last two nights it got down to below zero. This winter has been a little too much for the furnace and it went out. It is repaired now but wow!

Denver is experiencing its longest streak of having snow on the ground in recorded history.

Yes, we are experiencing the same thing. I am sure it is Al Gore and the global warming.

Stay safe in that weather.

My family decided to head South to Logandale, Nevada, where its 70F and sunny.

After the last 2 months of 11F temps., 2 inches of ice on the lawn, its refreshing to come down here where I already have a small sunburn.

Hey, Ranger RTO.. Where the FUCK are you??

Two ATV's, my 31' motorhome, a nice fire going tonight, a case of beer, a gallon of Jack Daniels and we're set until Monday!

Damn, All that bad wx sounds not too good. I moved to Cali this year around T-giving and was hoping for some good snow after being in TX for the past 3 yrs. But no - it has been one of the driest winters in the Sierra Nevadas in the past 10yrs. It has been mid 50s-low 60s this week and hasn't made it to freezing at night in over 2 wks. Bummer. :(
