Post by Hawkeye1Alpha »

I have made the mistake of wasting alot of my time in various forums of Military.com. I did not know about this site until recently and I am very impressed with the dignity and respect that is given to young, old and future Rangers on this website. I am glad to have found my brothers and I hope you will accept me. Here is my story. Basic at Polk(1967), AIT at Jackson(11B;1967), jump school at Benning(1968), SF Training group at Bragg(1968), RVN 1969 and ETS with 1/504 PIR at Bragg in 1970. Not a single day since 1969 has gone by when I have not thought of my brothers, living and dead. Thirty years went by without contact to anyone that could even remotely understand what it was like to be a Ranger in the Central Highlands working with a 4-man LRRP team. All of my feelings and combat experiences were suppressed while I was making a living trying to support my family. And then came computers. I am so glad to have found this site because what I have read there are others in this forum that have experienced the same that I can relate to and to those Rangers that have followed I have the greatest respect. Thanks to all that have served.
