Tavor Assault Rifle

Tavor, the new Israeli assault rifle is positioned to take the world market by storm. The new weapon is lightweight, compact and rapidly becomes an 'organic' part of the warfighter. It has already been chosen to arm the Israeli (IDF) and Indian elite troops, and aggressively marketed worldwide, to become a weapon of choice for future infantry combat suits. Tavor is based on extensive research and development and close cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces. It was selected by the IDF in 2003, following an extensive competition against the M-4. The plant is gearing up to serial production and Initial deliveries to the IDF are planned during 2005/2006.

I saw that on Disc. last night....I don't like bullpup style too much. We (C co. 2/75) deployed to England in 95 and got to do some work with Paras (can't remember 1 or 2 Para) and shot their SA-80s. Those things sucked and all of the Paras said they would much rather have and M16/M4.

Well boys

Tavor is nice gun, only the mag sucks! Have been to IMI tested it etc. By the way IDF use crapy M16 because they get one for 7 US!!!!! And Galil cost 650 from the factory! I have M16 and Galil (R6) from SA never consider M16 as gun that I'll take to war, period! Been there too.

Those who are willing to sacrafice freedom for security, do not deserver either one !
