active duty intro
My intro:
I entered the army in Dec '93 and completed OSUT in '94 (11H). I was in the 82nd (2/505 PIR) until '96. I went into the Natl. Guard so I could finish school, and became an 11M. I later got into an intel unit and got to go to California (DLI) for language school. I graduated from DLI (french) in 2000, and graduated from Univ. of Louisiana, Lafayette in 2001 (general studies). I came back on active duty after 9-11, and to ensure deployment (I didn't see the war with Iraq at that time), I chose PSYOP. I wish I'd have went back 11 series. I am, however, in 9th PSYOP BN, the tactical BN, so at least I've had a chance to support infantry units in Iraq and Haiti.
I am currently a SSG and will be looked at for E-7 in feb. I have been selected for OCS and report May 06. I have been given my first choice of branch (IN), and finally will get to go to ranger school (eventually). I learned of this site from armyocs.com, which is why I'm here. I have gained useful knowlege from that site, and hope to do the same here. There are some good guys there, but there are also those that whine and confuse "professionalism" with "political correctness". I am happy to see that I can use the word "fuck" here.

No you can't use the word fuck here. We are very much against the word fuck. So your a Ragin Cajun, did some time in the 256th Brigade, assume it was 2nd Battalion. When was that?
Welcome here....and watch your fuckin mouth.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.
