If you've got the $$$$ buy it bro!

Soft body armor that stops rifle rounds is awesome. It is a little on the heavy side and get hot real quick in the summer though

SOV 1000

Post by Armorman »

The Titanium SOV 1000 was discontinued because of cost and a decision to streamline the number of manufacturers. One manufacturer can make both the Level 3+ and the level 4 ceramic tiles, while dealing with the Titanium was more market dependent on a precious metal, and a investment in a different supplier that couldn't actually supply level 4 tiles. These tiles are more expensive than ceramic, but the titanium is superior in many categories.

I have one of the Titanium tiles here and the price on them is double when it was first developed.
