I think your recruiter is including Infantry school which makes it 14 weeks.....

hasn't happened yet. but it will be in place shortly. support soldiers are going to get a lot more combat training. it has been announced by the CSA, but they are still planning the changes i think.

I was looking at that website linked, and I cant even find my ship date. I ship September 14 2004 and I dont think it is listed.

Check your contract, it probably says you start training Sept. 24th.

You guys are horrible. If it's fourteen then thats what it is. If it's nine, then shit it's nine. Sometimes ignorance really is Bliss, because if your goal is to be here at the Ranger Battalions time should not be an issue as 14 weeks isnt even half way there yet.

ya i heard Gen Schoomaker wants to make every soldier "a trained Rifleman first" so we wont have anymore fuckups (507th Maint)

Sounds like this guy had 'short story development and publishing' for an MOS. Although not every small unit action has been published, the things that medically retire people tend to be published by the local, then national press. Never heard that one.

look, guys.

i posted that info so you could know that the changes the Army has planned is to improve th fighting force for the CS/CSS types.

it doesn't affect anyone here planning on joining the Infantry.

Hey, just wait until you get to basic, it seemed like during ALL of my training it ended short. They'd always say that we'd learn more at our duty station. They'd also always say "If we had more time we'd teach you more about _____" Then again my OSUT was only 13 weeks so that week did hurt quite a bit.
