Security Clearance

Post by Git-R-Done »

SFC Hit_it,

I was wondering if you might have an idea of wheter or not this might be a problem for me with getting secret security clearance.

I do realize naturalized citizens already have one hurdle to go over, my main concern is that i have an immediate family member who is retired military from another country. So i was wondering if that would weight heavily on not being able to obtain the security clearance. As it might be looked at as foreign influence.

btw, was not sure what forum to really post this under. So just posting it in this one.

And you're probably asking questions that don't mean a thing. Quit looking for trouble and deal with it when it gets there.

You need to apply yourself to getting ready instead of sitting around and thinking up problems to worry about.

Listen to this Ranger cause he's right on target as usual. If you're worried about what will keep you from reaching your goal then you're "thinkin" do damn much and setting yourself up for failure down the road. Focus on what you CAN DO "NOW" AND not WHAT might happen down the road

Let me guess....he's retired Chinese military intelligence. :D

Seriously, as long as you are completely open and honest during the security process you shouldn't have any problems. You can be a baby murdering crackhead and get a clearance....as long as you're honest about it.
