Bad taste or not?

Post by SkyShark »

I came across this.

For those that may or may not know, there is a video game out there based on the Rangers in Mogadishu.

Part of me think it is fucked up, on the other hand it isn't any different from WWII games. What are your thoughts?

Battlefield 2 comes out tomorrow, no need to worry about that game.

I don't think it is bad taste. Hopefully the game will not be a pos. I think it is important that people know about events like Mogadishu. As long as the game says it is based on the events that took place, or at least mentions it, the the word will be spread. A video game might be what a lot of Americans need to learn about history.

I play the video games that the gaming company Novalogic produces. More specifically the Delta Force series. They have had a game out since around 2002 that details the involvement of the Ranger and Delta units in Somolia. I bought it the first week it came out. It's Delta Force Black Hawk Down. http://www.novalogic.com/games/DFBHD/

 Well everywhere in the post where it says, "I suckle Mommy's Teet" just insert "I suckle my Mommy's teet" and you get the point.

I personally believe that these games are for all the wannabees out there and all the REMF's and geeks that created these games. I know for a fact that no one in those games can experience the actual weather, heat, cold. nor pain from weakness and wounds and injuries. Drinkin a liquid found as in Dungeons and Dragons to enhance life is all bullshit. But I know that deep down having a PC with built up power for running these programs makes you all think you are the next fuckin Patton, Ali, and even scumbag Hitler. Ya can all say No No but these games are merely entertainment built by the geeks that will never experience war or death while they stuff their fucken pockets with your money. There is no way that I would want to corrupt even 1 iota of my thought process for killing the enemy for real with a weapon with live ammo under the threat of death and not a joystick with a ability to be re-born. The ultimate game in life is to be a real live U.S. Army Ranger, everything else is in last place.

You asked.
