Introduction

Post by SD »

Hello everyone!
I'm posting my introduction as required by the forum rules.

Lt. Colonel (Retired). Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation.
Spetsnaz GRU (Military Intelligence Directorate). 16th Separate Brigade.
'83 - Afghanistan. '96 - Chechnya.

Currently doing business with American companies by shipping different food items and raw materials to Russia and other ex-USSR countries.

I post at SOCNET from time to time. Some board members might know me.

Excellent board you have here.
I will be mostly reading, and posting when subject has to do with my expertise. English forums have helped me a lot to improve my English! :)

Thank you.

Yes. I was in Lashkargah on and off from 1983 till 1989. My unit along with the other Co. were the last ones to withdraw.

Welcome...

Damn, times are-a-changin'. We were pissed off at the Soviet Union in 1983 and well, they weren't too happy with us either (boycotted the 1984 Olympics in L.A.).

Welcome to ArmyRanger.com. These are indeed interesting times! Thank you for introducing yourself.

Your English is quite good in your introduction, in fact it is quite a bit better than many of the native speakers we get here. Do be careful about using this particular site as a tutor; certain extremely common expressions are not used that commonly other places. :)

Unfortunately politicians play their own games.
