So, I need to make an intro, well here it is.

Post by AbnRgr289 »

My wife happened along the site and I said "well I'll be damned." So, No shit, here I am, aka "Jethro". I was in the SCARNG from 11/84-7/87 as a 19E. Decided to go active as an 11X, ended up an 11C (gt score too high) "duh" should have acted stupid. Volunteered for Ranger in Jump School. Went to Aco 3rd batt. in 1/88 started out as an ammo bearer (of course), then the base gunner, and then section sergeant/acting plt. sergeant. Went to school class 2/89. Went to scout swimmer, Jumpmaster and "Just Cause" in 89'. Extra Duty's- ropemaster and SAR team leader. Ended up going to HHC 2/18 197th morter plt. 2/90 as 2nd section base gun sqd leader. Company repelling, land-nav,and hand to hand instructor (any little thing they could think of). Went to Desert Storm/Desert Shield 90-91. Not much else, no schools-no promotion. I guess they didn't like the Tab, Scroll,CIB, and mustard stain. When a senior ranking NCO looks at your chest before your face "you know your fucked." <<< actually done by a former 82nd Grenada Vet, (no mustard stain). If your in the community, stay in the community. Or take a step up the SOCOM ladder!! Went to 4th RTB 4/92 as OPFOR sqd. leader. Instructed 0-week, graded the PT,Swim test and gave Ranger hell in wood line ( Mike-3 over ). Went to the Boathouse in 6/94 and took over as support plt. sergeant in 10/94 ETS'ed 12/24/95. Now I'm just a lonely old PFC. (Proud Fucking Civilian) missing the Good Ol' Day's. And I'm damn sure Old School, Ya' Gotta Live Hard To Be Hard, HOOAH!! Glad to be here, "Thank's" Gentlmen. "WHAT THE FUCK, OUT!!" Once a Ranger, alway's a Ranger. RLTW

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

I see you've met the Pastor. Anything said beyond that point would consist of nothing but dangling participles, useless metaphors, split infinitives and mindless subject matter.

BTW, Welcome.
