Watching the news tonight... it is getting worse by the hour, which is expected with an event this big...but people were saying that there has been no food/water supplies, medical asistance or very little help at all -granted it is a mamoth task to deal with logistically, but people were saying they hadn't drunk or eaten in 4 days.

The UK camera crew / reporter were escorted away from the that Dome (Super Dome?) as they were told it wasn't safe?! Looked liked the crowds were mighty pissed off... looking nasty down there!

I had four fall in my yard alone. We were very lucky in that none fell on our house or us for that matter. There will be no power or water in my town for an etimated 3 to 4 weeks. Last night we left a soon as the roads were cleared and arrived at my sisters house north of houston at 4 in the morning. I will post some pictures as soon as i can get them sent to mt e-mail address.

Glad to hear you and your family made it through the storm. Ditto on the offer of help... just holler.

Careful Brother, Jule's here will make you some bagels. (Of course if you decide to go back and anchor your trees back up they'll be great for that...) Glad you're ok.

Jule's as an aside-packet received, thank you very much.

Dude, those depleted uranium Bagels can be used as self defense weapons. When thrown they will pentrate bricks and mortar, shot out of an Air Cannon, you could level the Super Dome.

Katrina SITREP from my scattered offspring...

Our daughter at college in Jackson, MS says they now have power back on the campus and classes should resume next Tuesday. Gas is in short supply and there's been some violence from people waiting in line for 6 hours to buy it, so there are armed guards (I don't know from where) at the stations. They have food and now electricity and are doing fine. The town wasn't damaged much beyond trees being down; the roofs and buildings seem fine. There're some refugees from NO staying at some civic building or auditorium in town.

Our son with the 82nd will be going to NO early next week. The Warning Order has been issued and he's been told to pack up and be ready to move out. Taking his place in history. Hooah!

Rangers and Vets,
I just returned last night from working in the coastal areas. It is a very sad sight for the residents there. On a positive note, there are plenty of state and goverment aid stations with food and clothing for people. Insurance companies are on sight and everywhere to process claims. Neighbors are helping neighbors and strangers are helping strangers to survive. On a quick personal story, I was walking along the waterfront in Bay St.Louis, Ms. when I saw an eldery couple. The lady was crying and the gentleman was just staring off into space. I walked up to them and offered them some water. Comes to find out I was standing in what used to be their living room. All I was standing on was sand. Come to find out they were traped in their car for 4 days with a tree laying across it before they were able to get some supplies. We were able to help them out but it was just one of many. I would like to thank everyone for their support in this time and please keep them in your prayers.
