Why Blackhawks? The only answer I truly have is, because women are not allowed to fly the Apache.

I better go find my former S-2 in the Astronaut program and tell her to give those flight hours back.

If I'm not mistaken (unclassified) one is currently in training and awaiting her rating.

God forbid they stick another "How do I adjust the pedals?, You mean there really isn't a hover button?" female in a real airframe. Apache drivers get to kill things (bradleys, buildings, palmgroves

). KW pilots find the badguys for the real killers. Chinook guys can haul more real killers(Rangers) to the fight than anybody else and they have all the booze and chicks in supply for the real killers.

BTW, a few of us who are beyond the killing stage of our lives (FOGs) just get to sit back and fly the General around in our pristine little Huron. That's a mighty mighty combat C-12 for you non-pilot types

Dang, smallest bird I was ever on was a LOH (pronounced loach). I'da had a dayum big smile back then for any pilot that came in for me. There t'weren't any time back then to dilly-dally looking at the round eyes.
