My uncle is a Ford nut...
Mostly a Mustang guy.

I grew up riding around in my dad's various Chevelle's, mostly 1970 SS's.
And all my uncle's cars...

1967 Shelby GT350, dark blue.
'69 428 SCJ car..
65 Fastback GT Hi-po 289
and a few others.

I loved the Shelby. It was unique, and just cool. It wasn't as stout as the BBC powered Chevelles but it could take a corner.

Taking some S curves on country rds here in TX at 120-130 mph..

Dad boiling the tires off the 1970 Chevelle on a hilltop by an abandoned missile base here in Denton.
I can remember being pinned to the seat as the car finally hooked, and looking in the mirror seeing a huge cloud of smoke behind us.

I'm going to look at some '65 Malibu's this weekend probably.
I have a 505 cubic inch motor sittong on the stand ready to go into something.
Full roller stroker motor, about 550 Hp, 640 Lb ft of torque, all at fairly low rpm, and with a smooth idle.

Can you say sleeper?

It should yank the front tires off the ground pretty good in a fairly light '65 'Bu.

I have the motor, trans, and rear waiting on a car...
