Wow. 8 pages of "I'm better than you" bullshit, are you fucking kidding me Ranger?!!

Jesus H. Christ, are you the only person that ever carried a rifle or fell upon hard times. No you're not.

Sure, driving a truck back here in garrison may seem 'pogue' to you, maybe to me too, but these soldiers are dying now every day driving those same trucks, and maybe they didn't have the privilage to be trained like we did, or be as mentally tough as we were, maybe they just weren't born fighters like most Rangers, but they are still there, doing what they get paid to do, so don't take their honor and service away from them, they fucking earned it too.

Quit yer fucking whining, stop your chest beating, sit down and have a fucking beer.

Your among Brothers here, no need to kick in the door and try to be the step-father, it ain't gonna cut it here. You're not the only fucking angry person in the world, trust me on that one, even if I only have a high school diploma, ok?

I'm not shitting on you or trying to best you, I'm trying to welcome you, just like the other guys, and you're throwing it in our faces. We ain't privates, we ain't kids and we ain't fucking cherries, hooah?

Here, first beer's on me, thanks for your service to "our" great nation.

reedycsu wrote:Ranger Silverback- You are right, some deployments can't compare to what some of the National Guard and Regular Army Units 18 month deployments. They also don't train as hard when we are in the rear. That is why they are who they are. We must maintain our condition, and proficiency, that is why we can't afford to deploy for years at a time. We would eventually lose all of our perishable skills. I'm not trying to school you, just remind you that I never deployed for a reason that is not note worthy. Some folks in Nam saw the shit, but their are others who have never been shot at, but that doesn't mean they are trying to carry around a badge of courage. Maybe they are just proud of what they have done.
-Rangers deploying to combat speaks for itself, we don't deploy to sit on our ass, if that were the case we would be disbanned and rendered useless. It only takes a second to die.

I see some Rangers on the site who were in Batt. for 1 or 2 years, so does that mean they are only using their short stay as a badge of courage? Ive got three combat stripes if that makes it more noteable for you.
Brother... I would really watch how you phrase things. I will refrain from spouting off... but, rest assured... I have done not one, but TWO trips to the rocks/sand... BOTH of them were over 12 months, boots on the ground. Also, rest assured... I did NOT just sit on my ass...

Ok, this teaches me to read the ENTIRE fucking post before replying...

If there's something to grasp within these 8 pages so far of posts in response to your intro thread, I think you would be lacking if you didn't see the wisdom of those who know, who could have kept their insights to themselves and not shared it with you, but on the contrary, stopped, read, and responded.

Some see arrogance.

Some see pride.

I see those in the Brotherhood that care.

And in the end, that's what it's all about.

My old man once told me when I was knee high to a pup when I asked him what he thought I should be when I grew up, like him.

His response:

"Son, you can be a doctor, lawyer, scientist, engineer or even a ditch digger, don't matter, just be proud of what it is you do and care about how you do it"

"Even if you wind up digging ditches, just be the best damn ditch digger that ever walked the face of the earth."

Took me a couple of years before I realized what he was talking about, but I "got it" one day later on down the road.

Good luck with your endeavors.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Welcome.

I said you would not want to hearmine...but here it is..You are a kid full of arrogance. Until you change your attitude and demeanor, I feel sorry for any Troops under your comand when the time comes.

Had a PLT Leader in NAM that you reminde me of..thought he was better and above everyone else. He had a hard time listening to his NCOs..The last time I saw him I was sipping a Body Bag closed over him.

Having been enlisted before, you should know better than to come across with your attitude you have now..not to mention being a Ranger.

Your "Combat Tours"...You act as though you are the only one..I would have loved to have had you with me for two years. There are Rangers on this site that are more successful than you will ever be, in and out of the military. The simple reason being, they are still Rangers. You would have a hard time relating to that since you are not in BN any longer ( your own thoughts).

I thing you need to get a grip, remember you are still a Ranger and drive on. When your attitude changes toward the members here, I will Welcome you again as a Brother Ranger.

Ouch, emotion is good yet reasoned rational thought works too. Try it you may like it.
