BlueDragonBoy:

Why in gods name would you join the Army to be an Administrative Specialist?

Are there 42L's in the Regiment?

I hope you have that 11B reclass thing in writing.

i was kinda screwed over getting this mos but now that i'm in i know sort of the ins and outs of it...yeah you would be surprised how many "LEG" soldiers are in my unit but most of them are 13 series...and i always keep things in writing. thats one thing i learned about the Army. hehe its funny because my 1st Sarn't wanted me to switch over to 13b and be a gun bunny but i just rather be a grunt..can't carry too many heavy items like arty rounds heh

That's the beauty of being a grunt....you never have to carry anything heavy. You never have to march, either. You basically just lay around a lot and eat hot chow.

My unit used to share a barracks with HHB, so I know there are lots of jump slots there filled by legs.

You know what the best thing is about having legs in a unit on jump status is? Built-in 'chute detail personnel.

Welcome to the site BlueDragonBoy. The Ranger's here have lots of good advice.

Thanks EP for reminding me how easy it was during my time. Yeah, We all had the "Life of Riley". Lucky for us our Sarn't would run to the beer hall for us so as not to disturb us while we all sat, smoked, and drank in our day room.

My Intro

Post by Duece »

Of all my tours in the army. The finest leadership I experience was from the NCO's and OFFICERS of the Eighty Duece. Professionalism has no substitute, a "Can Do" Attitude has no cure and the finest leaders wear a gold tab. What others called "Hardcore" we called soldiering. Thank you for sponsoring this forum.

Unfortunately Ranger H8 Train, we are NOT clear. I understand and respect the fact that I am merely a guest here in your house, and I have acted accordingly. I have not disrespected a single one of you. However, if this is a place where only Rangers are allowed to make comments as unimportant and simple as what I said and the rest of us have to "keep our fucking comments to ourselves", then just let me know that now. This is the last place that I would have thought a statement such as mine would cause such a case of butt hurt, especially in the case of a Ranger taking up for a leg. It's absolutely ridiculous that it caused that response.
So I'm a signal fag, am I. Perhaps that may be true of the strategic folks that do shift work in an airconditioned building and bring pillows to work for nappy time, but I'll take exception to that statement for us that actually deploy in an actual field environment. Now I realize that signal MOSs are combat support and we aren't with the Hooahs on the front lines doing the dirty work, but I'll tell you that we are out there on patrols, providing security, etc just as the hooahs are and dying beside them all the same. ( *NOTE* I want to make clear that I am by no means claiming that what the support folks do is comparable to that of the combat arms hooahs.) I'll let you tell the widow of my fellow trooper from my signal Bn that her husband was just a SIGNAL FAG when he was KIA by an IED while out on a patrol.

And as guest, it isn't your place to make derogatory comments to other guests. ARE WE CLEAR NOW YOUNG HERO?
