There's actually a few of us "Legs" sneaking around here. Nothing to be ashamed of IMO. You are a veteran that was deployed to a warzone, you've got my respect. We all had a purpose, we all served our country, be proud of it. Shit, they even gave some of us a belt buckle for walkin so damn much

I guess what I'm gettin at is welcome, and thanks for your service to our great nation.

I was a Czech linguist. Got to Europe in early 1988. Czechs were still the bad guys. The wall came down, the Velvet Revolution happened in Prague, and we were fresh out of bad guys until Saddam invaded Kuwait. Then the whole lot of us Czech and Russian linguists went to the Gulf. ha ha.

I was not stationed in Dexheim. Back when I was in the 501st, 88-91, the Bn was in Katterbach at the Army Air Field, next door to Ansbach, close to Nuremburg.

I didn't know any Night Stalkers before writing the book. They can be tough to find. ha ha
I'll have to read the books. Thanks for writing them and welcome to the site.

Hey Hit_it,

Did you/are you in the 160th SOAR? If so, it would be awesome if you would read the books and give me feedback.

DSVet - hey, I'm wondering what the benefit is of writing something under a 'pen name', perhaps anonymity? Why after making the choice of using a pen name would you decide to stop using it and use your real name instead?

What led you to use the pen name, then to decide to change that?

Hey, a pen name is useful for a series like "Night Stalkers" because if I don't want to write them after book 6 let's say, the publisher can hire someone else to write under that name.

Many series have multiple authors. It's funny sometimes readers will say, "John Smith is the best author ever! I've read all 20 of his books!" but John Smith is actually 4 different authors.

you can switch back to your real name at any time. Also, let's say I wanted to write westerns, military thrillers, and crime whodunnits . . . I might have 3 different pen names so I don't mix my readers up.

Hope that explains it . . .
