School is still in high gear right now but recently I have gotten in a few more workouts. My knee is doing much better but is still not back to normal, therefore I have not been able to run yet. It has been almost 8 months so I am not sure where my 2 mile time will be; there is a good possibility it will be slower than 14 minutes. I will update with a PT test (minus the run) this week, hopefully by Wednesday.

Make sure you are rehabbing completely before running a 2 mile timed event. Last thing you need to do is re-injure yourself or hurt something else.

Roger Ranger Disinfertention, I will take that to heart. The reason it is still a problem is because I did not give it proper time to heal the first time, hoping I finally learned my lesson.

Push-ups 80
Sit-ups 82
Pull-ups 17

My current goals are to reach 20 chin-ups by the end of January, gain strength back in my legs and read through more of the Letters from School thread.

Sounds good, what are you doing to recover from your injury? Are you able to see a Physical trainer or anything like that?

Ranger Disinfertention, I am doing what I can to recover based on the information I can find. In June the doctors said it is Hoffa's Disease, which is basically the fat pad under the patella getting pinched and swelling up, based upon MRI and X-ray scans. I was not given much advice besides ice and avoid running/impact. After hours of research there does not seem to be much I can do besides that, I have yet to find a general recovery timeline and it does not look like there are PT exercises that I can do to assist in recovery. I am currently icing about four times a week (I should ice more), avoiding exercises that can aggravate my knee, and stretching occasionally. I will be seeing a different doctor over winter break when I am back home and hopefully he can offer some advice. In severe cases surgery is an option but considering it does not hurt much anymore I am hoping to avoid that and recover naturally if at all possible.

Thanks for typing that out Kaleb. Doesn't sound like you have a lot of good options besides rest like what you are doing. I read a quick blurb about it but I couldn't find out if it was permanent or if once treated it should go away? I'm guessing you are prone to get it but I think the big thing is ensuring it doesn't come back especially once you start training again.

Kaleb, I think you need to find another physician and get a second opinion. Never, never quit!

Push-ups 75
Sit-ups 83
Pull-ups 18
I am now in the next age category and should be getting at least 75 push-ups. This means I missed the standard that I was hoping to hit.

Ranger Disinfertention, if I understand correctly it can occur either from an impact (which I beleive is what happened in my case) or from from posture related issues such as tight hamstrings; but as far as reoccurance goes, I am unclear on the likelihood. Ranger Jim, I took your advice and scheduled an appointment with a different doctor next week to see if he can bring a new perspective. Really hoping he can answer some questions so I know when I am cleared to start running and lifting again.

Just realized that is mistyped how many push-ups I did in my last update. I actually did 73 push-ups and my goal was no less than 75. Sorry for the mistake, I will be more cautious from here on out.

Another typo... I really need to concentrate on the attention to detail aspect of life.

Rangers, I will do an extra 200 pushups tomorrow on top of the exercises you would like to assign for my carelessness.

I didn't catch your "another typo". Always be critical of yourself. You should be your hardest judge.
