Good morning, Rangers. My name is Alfonso. I am 20 years old and I enlisted as an 11x with Option 40 in the beginning of November. My ship date is January 3rd, 2018. I will be celebrating my 21st birthday that month and am looking forward to finally kick off a new chapter of my life.

Hey Alfonso. Welcome to the site. You ship in two weeks? Not a lot of time but make a task list that is appropriate for the amount of time you have and try to knock out some of the basics!

Thank you for the welcoming, Rangers. I took a APFT according to Army regulations. I am very disappointed in my scores. This was the first APFT I self-administered instead of doing each event on it's own. I felt like I could have done much better - I will be taking another one when I come back from my family trip after Christmas and will post the results.

Alfonso, never be satisfied but those are not terrible scores. You now know where you are and where you want to be in regards to the APFT so all there is to do is get there and update us as you move along.

Alfonso, those aren't bad PT scores. At this point, focus more on your form and doing everything right so they count. Numbers will follow.
