Ranger Jim

I should be scheduled to go back to MEPS to take the ASVAB and Physical on 20160616 - 20160617. I am a bit of annoyed of my recruiter messing up my projection twice, but I know I just need to be patient. Hopefully my work will be understanding with me taking so many days off. In the mean time, I will continue to work on my PT, even though it is a bit hard working 70 hours a week. But I will indeed to make time. My current PT test score as of last weekend is as follows:

Push Ups- 81
Sit Ups - 85
2 Mile Run - 15:35
Pull Ups - 17

I will be focusing on my running, as I feel it is currently my weakness. I am also reciting the Soldier's Creed and Ranger Creed every single day.

Ranger ManchuV,

Thank you for the advice. I will confirm today with my recruiting station that I am set up to go to MEPS for next week.

Ranger Jim,

I was able to retake the ASVAB on 20160616, but was not able to take the full physical on 20160617. Apparently there was some problems scheduling me because of my medical waiver situation. My recruiter got it figured out and tried to put me in as a walk on for the physical for 20160617, but it was too late.

Since I have taken so many days off, I can't take anymore days off without getting fired from my current job. I was scheduled to fly out of town for a wedding from 20160708 - 20160711, but changed my flight to fly back 20160710 to attempt to take the full physical at MEPS again on 20160711.

On another note, below are the results of my ASVAB:

AFQT - 89
GT - 124
CL - 128
CO - 133
EL - 132
FA - 133
GM - 134
MM - 133
OF - 132
SC - 132
ST - 130

Rangers and all,

I want to give everyone an update on my current situation. I have been to MEPS a total of 4 times, and I have still not been able to take the physical yet. My last visit to MEPS was on 20160711, but I was not able to be scheduled and take the physical for some reason. I reached out to my contact up in USAREC, and they have been in contact with MEPS and my recruiter's chain of command to sort of my situation.

My recruiter got the go ahead to schedule me for a physical on 20160718, but I was not able to go due to the fact that the doctor at MEPS has not signed my DD Form 2807-2 yet. I have been following up with my recruiter every other day, and he is still waiting for the doctor at MEPS to sign my DD Form 2807-2 for me to return to do the physical.

Rangers and all,

I want to give an update on my situation. The LA MEPS CMO has refused to process me until I fill out a new DD Form 2807-2 and a MEPCOM form 40-1-3-R-E. I have had my civilian doctor fill out the MEPCOM Form 40-1-3-RE and I have forwarded it to my recruiter. My recruiter will have my new form DD Form 2807-2 ready for me to sign Monday. Once it is signed, it will be forwarded to LA MEPS to process again.

Rangers and all,

I want to give an update on my current situation. I am currently still awaiting to go to LA MEPS to do the physical. My recruiter has been waiting for the MEPS CMO to approve me to go to MEPS to do the physical. There has been problem after problem. The CMO required me to fill out a LASIK Worksheet to review before I am approved to go physical. I have turned that in to my recruiter and it has been forwarded to MEPS about a month ago. As of yesterday, there has been no word yet from the LA MEPS CMO.

As of now, I will continue to work on improving my PT and studying the Ranger Creed and Ranger History.

Rangers and all,

I was able to get into contact with my recruiter yesterday. According to him, there has been no word yet from the LA MEPS on when I can take the physical. As of now, all I can do is wait to take the physical. In the mean time, I will continue to work on my PT and study the Ranger history.

Rangers and all,

I have finally received word that MEPS has approved for me to go take the physical. I am scheduled to go to MEPS on 20161117 to take the physical. This may not be any big news, but at least I am finally one step closer.

Rangers,

I want to give an update on my current situation. I was originally scheduled for a physical tomorrow morning at Los Angeles MEPS. I reported to my recruiter today and found out that MEPS is still not accepting me to take the physical. So I will not be taking the physical tomorrow. My recruiters have not idea what to do at this point. The Army is already willing to approve my medical waiver, but MEPS is rejecting me to do a physical for some reason. At this point, my recruiter is involving their battalion leadership to see what is going on and what else needs to be done.

I am beyond frustrated, having taken multiple days off of work and am in danger of being fired. It's been over a year since I began my process to get back in, and for now I can only work on my PT, memorize the Ranger Creed, and wait to see what else needs to be done.

Rangers and all,

Today (20161128), I was finally able to return to LA MEPS to do the full physical. The First Sergeant got involved and somehow was able to get me finally scheduled for the physical. The next step from here is to wait to get word back from USAREC in regards to the approval of my medical waiver after they have reviewed my new physical.
