Welcome to the site. Have your read the book, "The Road To Unafraid" by Chaplain Jeff Struecker? I read it a couple of years ago. It is a great read. RLTW

One of the last patrols I graded, as an RI in desert phase, was lead by an Army Chaplain. Being a Christian, I asked him quite a few questions about why he would put himself through all the torture just for a Tab that he really didn't need to progress in the Military. He said that Jesus had become a man so that he could relate to us on an equal level and understand what we were going through here on earth. In the same way he wanted to be able to relate to troops from their level and understand what is was like when things got hard. Made me respect him more for what he was doing. He did a good job that night as PL and I gave him a go. Don't know what happened to him after that.
