Introduction- Kevin
Hello Rangers,
My name is Kevin and I am from Lawrenceville, Georgia. I am 22 years old and am finishing up my degree in Exercise Science at Georgia State University. My plan is to enlist 11xop40 but will not be able to ship until graduation next December. I played baseball four years in college (2 at GA State) and love being part of something elite and the bond between guys on the team. This elite nature and brotherhood in the Rangers is what draws me to want to be a part of it. I have read and learned a lot from this site and finally decided to join.

Pushups 76
Situps 58
Pullups 22

I know there is much to improve, and I look forward to everything I can learn from this sight.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Introduction- Kevin
Ranger Jim,
I met with a recruiter a few days ago. He said there should be no issue getting an op40 for me. I will have to wait until early/mid March to go to MEPS, during my spring break, due to my busy school schedule.
I want to be a Ranger because I want to be a part of something elite. I have always been drawn to being the best, and that simply is what a Ranger is. I have never settled for anything less in my life. When I know what I want, I go out and get it. I have always had a desire to serve this country and believe I can have the biggest impact by joining the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Introduction- Kevin
Ranger Jim,
I do not have a finalized date set for MEPS, but I will most likely be going some time next week due to it being my Spring break. I have been working out most days of the week and have increased the amount of running that I do per week as well. I have also looked at some practice ASVABs and I feel very confident about that. I will post an updated PT test this week.

Re: Introduction- Kevin
Rangers,
I performed another PFT today and here are the scores.
Pushups 93
Situps 55
2 Mile 15:29
Pullups 15
I am extremely disappointed in my scores, besides the pushups. I will adjust my workouts immediately to make up for these horrible numbers.

Re: Introduction- Kevin
Ranger Jim,
I have yet to go to MEPS unfortunately. My parents wanted me to slow things down and talk more with them about it before they handed over my birth certificate to take to the recruiter. They have finally started to come around on the subject. I am hoping in the next couple weeks I can finally get a MEPS date. I will report as soon as I have this done and will keep posting APFT scores.

Ranger Grim666,
I have been looking at 11x, 68w (both op40 of course), and 18x with the intent of being a Medical Sergeant.
