Introduction - Cory

Post by Cpender2 »

Good evening Rangers, My names Cory *****. I have a 15W (UAV Operator) w/ Option 40. I'm currently employed at Chickfila.

Joining the Army is something I have always wanted to do since before I was five years old. I joined the day after my 17th birthday and ship out 2 weeks, 3 days after my high school graduation. I'll spend 10 weeks in Fort Sill, 23 weeks in Fort Huachuca, and then to Fort Benning for Airborne and RASP.

Cory

Welcome Corey.

You don't have a lot of time to increase your PT scores! DO NOT DELAY!!! Your push UPS and sit UPS should be in the 80's and your 2 mile run time should be around 13 minutes. When you begin training, if you're muscles aren't VERY sore the next day then you aren't training hard enough.

You need to be in the best physical condition of your life in order to become a Ranger and, given your MOS, you will need to continue training on your own time to maintain a peak fitness level.

Good luck on your journey.

Cpender2, do not post you full name on the board.

I extrapolated your full name before I fully read your intro.

We do this to protect your personal info should you be selected for service.

Roger Rangertough.

Work out today consisted of a 4am 4 mile run in 32 minutes, Diamond push ups till failure, shoulder wide push ups till failure, wide grip push ups until failure, 100 crunches, and sit ups till failure.

Tomorrow will be another 4 am day. Will probably do 4 sets of 10 air squats, 15 sit ups, 20 pushups, 100 meter lunges, and a 100 meter sprint back, all finished off with a 2 mile run for time.

PT scores are not were they need to be and I'll be damned if I'm not going to make it through RASP due to something I can control.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.

Welcome Cory, as has been said, you need to PT till you puke and then PT some more. You need to be in the best physical condition you can be in when you ship out. Give everything you've got, every time you give and never, ever quit. RLTW
