Your ambition is admirable but it is a little late for you to do much preparation. If you have not already done so, read all of the threads here pertaining to young men readying themselves. Memorize the Ranger Creed so you can recite it perfectly in your sleep, because you will or you will fail.

You must want this more than anything else in your life. Only you know in your heart how much determination you really have.

Do, or do not. There is no try.

Others will be along shortly to guide you. Heed their advice.

Good luck.

Welcome to the site. You said you had a medical waiver, that may or may not exclude you from Regiment depending on the waiver. However it does not exclude you from being the best Infantry soldier that you can be. Do you have an Airborne slot on your contract. If you can't make it to Regiment you can still excel in a regular or Airborne Infantry Unit and obtain a Ranger School slot through that unit, if you prove yourself worthy of that slot. The Army needs good, motivated Soldiers everywhere, not just in the 75th Ranger Regiment. There are Rangers here, on this site who have done it this way. Give everything you've got, ever time you give and never, ever quit. RLTW

Squidney wrote:Ranger rangerjd, my medical waiver was for a broken clavicle which didn't require surgery or anything like that, also it was something that happened about 6 years ago.
