Introduction: Brett

Post by BmanG7 »

After not reading the introduction and rules for this site, I previously created a forum. I apologize for violating the rules, but have now read them and plan to follow from here on out. Hopefully my mistake can be forgotten.
My name is Brett, I am 17 years old and currently in my senior year in high school. I live in Indiana. I am currently in the Future Soldier Program. I scored a 95 on my APFQT. My Physical Fitness Test results from yesterday are as follows:
Pushups: 61
Situps:105
2 Mile: 12:50
Pullups: 23
Also yesterday I swore in at MEPS. I have a 15W Option 40 contract. I ship August 18, 2015. I would love to hear from men and women who have actually fought through training and became a Ranger, and I am very excited about the idea of this site.

Brett, welcome to the site. I also grew up in Indiana, although I haven't lived there since 1976, I still consider myself a Hoosier. Great job on getting an Option 40 contract. Remember the secret to becoming a Ranger is as hard and as simple as this, Never ever quit. No matter what, no matter why, keep you eyes on the prize and NEVER ever quit. RLTW

Roger, Ranger Jim. A 15W operates UAVs. One must know operator level 'ins and outs' of the UAV. Operate and analyze results of the Uav, to watch for enemy movement, plan attacks, scout areas, etc.. The 15W then helps in mission planning and organizing what the best plan of attack should be after launching the UAV. A 15W also launches/recovers the UAV.
I was first introduced to this MOS per my recruiter, who was continually pushing for a job that would lead to more opportunities after the army, should I choose to get out. (I was wanting a 11X contract originally)
