Introduction - Ike

Post by Ike »

Hello Rangers,

My name is Ike, 26 years old and enlisting 11B with an Option 40 soon. I am just getting my packet ready and heading towards my local recruiter. I was a just a kid when the Battle of Mogadishu or Operation Gothic Serpent happened and I later learned about it in high school. After that It was just lots researching about the Rangers and the U.S. Army in general. After high school, I stared on college and a few jobs here and there but decided that those things aren't for me. I feel a little bit older coming in but that won't stop me. I come down from 200+ pounds to 185 in the past few months and trying to get more body fat off. I have also found the "12 Week RASP Training Plan" and other information on the forums my other Rangers. This information is highly invaluable and I like the thank everyone of you. Hopefully I can find answers that I am looking for through the search tool. I'm sure every question was asked once. Once again, thank you Rangers.

Thank you Ranger Jim.

Right now I would like to pursue combat arms. At first I wanted to enlist in a technical MOS, either 25 series or 15W. I was also searching for what MOSs are in higher demand in the Regiment right now but come short. However you only live life once, so why not enlist as an infantryman first.
