I give kudos to the Department. It wasn't too long ago that another Officer made national news because he did the same thing, and was punished for it. I'll have to see if I can find the article.

On another note, I (and a few other officers) go about every weekend we work and kick a soccer ball around with kids at our local park. You'll be surprised what info you get, and the kids always remember it.
