This...the movie is a prequel to the book. The zombie effects are similar to the effects in "I Am Legend". The story was bland and predictable...so I agree I'm glad I didn't waste 10 bucks at a theater.

(Gasp) But Brad Pitt is in that movie. That's half a try.

Hammer Film's "The Burning Man" was on the other night. Anyone else seen this chiller? Hammer's best film from the 1970's, hands down.

I gotta say, I am extremely excited to see 'Rush' this weekend.

For tickets alone? Holy hell. I usually spend about $70 when I take my kids (3) to see one; and that includes drinks, popcorn, and the water I pour out to spit my dip in.

Saw 'Don Jon' tonight. Was not very entertained. This is a rainy day rental at best.

Watched "The Purge" tonight with the 6. I'm not impressed with it either. I could have had a more enjoyable time spending those 90 minutes hitting myself in the grundle with a claw hammer.

Not counting snacks it's $7.50 for matinee or mil discount where I live.

Saw 'Rush' last night, definitely worth the trip to the theatre. Totally lived up to the hype.

"Goon" is the funniest hockey (and I would say sports) movie since Slap Shot. I'd never heard of it but downloaded it on my Ipad for the trip back from Europe.

Watched "This is the End" with Seth Rogan, Danny McBride, and the like last night. Two hours I'll never get back.

Saw a foreign film, Indonesian, called "The Raid: Redemption"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6f6f_kfp1Z8

It had some of the most intense fight scenes I have seen in a long time. This is one of those action movies I will see several times.

Have not seen this yet, but looking forward to it.

The first one simply titled "The Raid" was a great film I'm sure you'd also enjoy if you liked part 2.
